Welcome to the home page of Mickey Zee....he be me!BIOI began drawing at the age of six, expanded into painting as a teenager, and later earned a Bachelor of Fine Art degree. I have done several comic strips over the years and hundreds of cartoon drawings and caricatures. I began studying darkroom photography at the age of ten and partially paid for my college education as a freelance photographer. In college, I also studied film and video production, and today I do freelance video shooting and editing on a limited basis.
In the last couple of years, I have become increasingly interested in digital drawing, painting, photography, music, video and 3D modeling. Much of my interest in digital media is driven by new and exciting software and technical capabilities, combined with the lack of time and space to do certain traditional processes.
Although my primary occupation is not in the graphic arts or music fields, I continue to learn, and hopefully, improve my creative and technical skills to the point where I can expand into these commercial areas as a side business.
I use Bryce, Vue d'Esprit, 3D Studio Max, Carrara, Poser, Painter and Photoshop for my digital artwork. Most of my 3D work focuses on creating scenes that depict people, places and things and how they interact with each other and their surroundings.
I shoot my digital photography with a Nikon D100 DSLR and a Sony DSC-S70 digital camera. I also shoot with Nikon N80 and Canon A-1 film cameras, and a Sony DCR-PC9 digital video camcorder. I use a Nikon Coolscan IV for digitizing my films.
I hope you enjoy my work. Thanks for visiting.

I like the way he is digging in his pocket for more money for that last drink, he doesn't seem to sure he can cover it. She has a nice quizzical facial expression, but her arms don't look quite right. Like the image anyway. Jan
