Description

This is the engine assembly for the cargo hauler ship I'm working on modeling in bryce, using all boolean construction. Please rate and comment, I'd love to hear anything you have to say about this work in progress, and please check out the other items in my gallery, including the cargo pods that this ship will be hauling when its completed.

Looks good and functional. The modeling and textures are very good. Is she ready to go now? I have some electron-cloud manipulators(false matter projectors) and some nano-factories that need to be shipped to Zeta Reticuli.

Lovely! It looks real -- if futuristic things can be called real. It has recieved the Illomen Seal of Approval. :) And hey, while you're taking those electron-cloud manipulators and nano-factor--eh, nevermind, shipping rates must be outragious. ;)

A very good start on the model. I like what I see so far. One thing I'd like to see in the final image is improved textures and bump maps. Don't get me wrong, it looks nice, but a bit too smooth and perfect.---Can't wait to see the final model and any images you make with it!

Looks really good so far... I like also the silvery "plasma" on the thrusters, you should consider to leaving it as it is.

Nice textures. Good to see another person who's not afraid of primitives. If I had a criticism it would be that the modules and parts seem to be made of big, single, one-piece booleans. This is just my preference, you understand - dozens of tiny booleans making one big module (at which point my PC crashes) is just the way I do things. Keep it up - it shows promise :o)

I agree that it's a great start, but the model is too smooth. The faint outline of dark panels looks like it's just pasted on. If this was used for a bump map it might work okay. Alternately, you could use a slightly more grainy texture and remove the paneling effect.
