I recently graduated with BFA from the University of Central Florida. Having begun my studies in fine art, I am very familiar with traditional media. I am now making the transition to working digitally on the projects that are better suited to that approach.
I have created television promos for WFTV in Orlando, box designs for Scholastic, and all manner of promotional materials - including billboards, posters, brochures and t-shirts - for the American Lung Association.

Shades of Treebeard or maybe Old Man Willow or could it be the face reminds me of Rigel from Farscape.Don't ask me why I like it I just do. I would have been tempted to increase the bump height somewhat on the ground cover but what the hell. It's a fine image and it works well.Good work.

Good image. I will be curious to see the version with no photoshop filter...

I am commenting cause I feel your pain... you stay up all night render for 2 days post what you think will change the way people think of the very essence of mankind and after passing out in front of your computer you wake up 10 hours later to see 3 views and no comments... theres nothing left to do but chug some nyquil and hide under the covers for 14 hours... BTW - Great image it makes me remember fairy tales from my youth!

Thelema, that isn't actually a Photshop filter, I just painted on top of the image... The real render looks good, but I wanted to tweak it and make it look more like the style I use in my color pencil drawings. (My art teachers always told me I used too much black, but I just like that look). Anyway, thanks, you guys, for posting. And thanks to Jory for understanding. :)

This is so good! I too would be curious to see the original render, but the overall effect you achieved is really cool.
