Description
These are the woods that inspired Robert Burns to pen his famous tribute, lines that go a long way to reflecting the glory of this wooded, rocky chasm. This is the point where he sat and wrote them. These are the lines.
The braes ascend like lofty wa's,
the foaming stream deep-roaring fa's,
O'erhung wi'fragrant spreading shaws,
The birks of Aberfeldy.
