This is NOT a "photoshopped" photo, It is digital paint!
Very excited about this one! I ONLY used a photo doc. in 'tracing paper" mode for the intial sketch lines for the main features, which I did manually. The rest is 5 or 6 hrs of tablet and digital paint, all the way! This is my very first real "go" of Painter, or anything like it. I could stand to work on consistency of medium or method, or follow-through, but it is all so experimental to me that I am extremely happy with this right where it is at. It looked like a pretty sad attempt until I discovered the photo "brushes" for burn and grain, affecting all the paint that came before, and credit those tools greatly for the rich tones and textures. Hope you enjoy it!

Isn't Painter a blast? And you found a way to give it texture interest as well as being a good drawing! It's so good to see some digital painting--I love Poser but i also love seeing an artist's hand in the art!

Very interesting! Good characterization, too.
