Description

Hi everyone! Long time no see..er...write. You guys have been doing some incredible work around here! Anyway, I've been real busy working on my short. Some good things have happened. Through showing some demos, I've recruited the work from some terrific proffesionals. I have Dennis Daniels doing the voice over, I got a pro sound studio to cut the v/o and i recently got a commitment to have someone develop a musical score for the short. Through word of mouth, we have a cable TV company interested in showing the short, (IFC) for you guys in the states. The biggest benifit from this is the fact that I seemed overwhelmed several times an thought about dropping it. But because of everyone donating thier time, shear guilt keeps me moving on : ) Anyway the character is lipsynced and animated (2 months at 2-3 hrs. a day). So I recently started the room. This is pretty close. The light is just temporary, I may surface bake radiosity. I didn't have to model the chair or gun, thank god! Anyway, let me know what you think, hope all is well. Pete

I really like it. The atmoshere is excellent. Need to get rid of the flare on the pistol, because it doesn't really go with the rest of the scene, but other than that, excellent.

You've been missed around here! :o)

You really could use a banker's lamp or some other kind of desk lamp to round out the scene. What about some obscure little thing like a snow globe? I'm surprised you didn't stick a safe into the wall behind a portrait of his grandmother. I love the little details like the list of "people to kill". You make superb environments!

hey moe, thanks for the comment. actually there was a desk lamp but it took away from the dramatic overhead lighhting. also, there was a picture of his mom on the wall. Actually it was his angry mug, just with old lady hair. but i scratched that along with other items because the scene is going to take forever to animate. just the scene alone is 6 minutes with out a character! 30 fps for 5 minutes...that hurts. I tried bakeing radiosity, but to get the map large enough for closeups and with all that geomety it kept crapping out on me : ( so back to the fake stuff. also i had to get use to modeling some real low rez stuff and mapping it as much as possible. Thanks again, good to hear from you buddy. Pete
