Description
This butterfly was enjoying the lavender in my garden. After all, it's only a moth.

Killer macro. It is funny, I was just thinking before I read your caption that it is indeed just a moth.

Butterfly or moth, whos better and why? Both deserve great attention... "just a moth" ! I just die here looking at the details. Great colours and lighting.

Thank you all! :) He was not all the time cooperative, always fluttering. I chased him around making about two dozen shots. Some nailed him down. I was astonished to see that butterflies have only four legs. Always thought they had six.

Can't help explaining: It is a true butterfly(Distelfalter closely related to the Admiral)! It has six legs but these kind of butties use only four. They only use their frontlegs for tasting! The frontlegs are hidden in the curve just behind the head. Hope you appreciate this comment? PapaGuru.
