Avonaoo'o came back to the hilltop dragging a young bush behind her. She quickly chopped off the rather wet branches and then took out the dry wood of the main trunk. With that a little fire was quickly made. Once it was burning she heaped up the wet branches on top of it and sprinkled some of her precious drinking water into the branches. The smoke became black. She took the blanket Samuel had brought and started the signalling. "I just hope its worth all this, Ve'hoe", she said to Adrian.
