I like this POV much better! The floor texture in the other render detracted from your wonderful modeling/texturing.

It is nice, but after 4 years of Kenjitsu (the combat technique corresponding to the mere artistic Kendo) I see some problems with your model. The texture on the grip bandage is distorted and the grip itself is too short for a Katana. The base of the blade also shows that the blade itself is triangular in diameter. A true Katana does not have a triangulat blade. I dont see where those rims in the blade come from. They would make the blade easier to shatter because they reduce the flexibility of the steel. I also see that you did not make a difference between the blade and the blades edge. A Katana has a very fine waved edge, producing a better cut when pulled. That is why Katana are no slash-swords, but pull-swords like cavalry sabres. By the way, you should raise the polygoncound and subdivision of the handguard to eliminate polygone artifacts.

I know the main problems of the sword. I created this model a long time ago, just in my mind without any real model to look at. This rims effect of a texturing fault. Thanx for your comments. Comments like this are very helpful for me.
