Damn...this is excellent modeling!!!! I'm studying modeling right now for a future image and I am glad I stopped by here. I learned a couple of things. Excellent work!

If layers referred to were used in the modeling, it's probably Rhino. Otherwise, the layers may be referring to the postwork for the presentation. If you did the modelling, that's one helluva job there. It'd be neat to see the mesh for it. The rendering could use a bit more lighting to it (yeah, I know, it makes the render time go up a lot.) A few fill lights, and maybe a spot for reflection would make it even better yet.
