Butter of Escargot "a la Burgundy" 1 kilogram of butter (about 2 lbs) 25 grams of salt 5 grams of black pepper 150 grams of garlic 35 grams of shallot or scallions 90 grams of parsley Garlic, shallot and parsley are chopped very fine. The whole is well mixed. Now, just scrape the muck from the Window...and ...enjoy!

Congrats to David for the GOM! And this is a marvelous shot, a perfect close-up. I wouldn't expect garlic to be such a fascinating shooting object! :)))

The soft wine-red and the orange particles, the white that is a bit dirty and the darkness of the background - this forms a wonderful colour scheme and atmosphere.

Purple bulbs about the size of a heart, with clusters wreathed in a mysterious shell, almost impenetrable until you smash the whole clove open. Small, unobtrusive but when crushed everyone knows you've been touching garlic, eating garlic, sucking garlic - the stuff's everywhere. Sauteed slowly in olive oil to tenderness, an impalpable presence on the tongue, a lingering sensation on the palate like some long-forgotten kiss... Beautiful macro work my friend
