cool image, did you use greeble - script for this or are you mad enough to model all the boxes by hand :) One thing thou, it feels like there is something missing in the image, the vechicals are a great touch up for the image but perhaps some comercial posters on the walls of the buildings or cars / ships parked close to the image with people walking around it?, plz don`t get me wrong at all cause your image is really sweet :) btw - is it for a animation project of yours ? Nice work anyhow! :)

Fantastic render. I think the main point GITS is trying o make is that, for an industrial section of town, it sure is clean. A little clutter or ditriness would make it that much more realistic. But, even with out that, it is truely excellent. I'd love to see a wire frame of this or an explanation of how you did it.

Thnx for the comments, guys! :)

I used 2 layers of Greeble. 1 Layer consists of 3 greebles for detail then after that I tried to find a nice pov. When I did, I started to add buildings and activity. Thnx for the tips for adding more life to the scene. Oh yeah. b.t.w. here the wire frame.:

I am using Photoshop for all the videopost work, batching the effects over all the rendered frames for the animation, then rendering the animation using Flash 6 (I have something against A-Premiere, it's not stable at all). It's a long way around but it gives the best effects when it comes to color correction and antialiasing and I can use the filters like gaussian blur, filmgrain, color correction, glows etc.. much better than from within videopost. This method of making animations is inspired by my big rolemodel: creator of the rustboy project

The vehicles (3 different types) were modelled (offscene) and then used in 5 superspray systems set to instanced geometry. This way I can animate them quickly and easilly.
