This could be the cover of an Anne Mcaffery book. The mood set by the lighting & the camera angle really make this piece.

:-) Thanks everyone for your kind comments!-I had a great time making this render-lighting and composition took awhile. Thanks to Hankster for modeling the temple-(and helping me so kindly when I had trouble with opening the 3ds file)-and for nice comments-and observations! and Daz for the Dragon. And alot learned from Renderosity over the years. More to come! :-) Eric

Eric, I'd like to know more about the motivations of this "dragon". What story is being told? What is his fears? What does he dream about when he sleeps? How would he feel about NAFTA in today's politically charged climate? Oh yeah, nice drawing. I'd just like to flesh out his entire personality more. PDF

I prefer this one - like the warm lighting

the lighting in this render is definately better. it warms up the dragon and brings out the textures as intended. great job!
