This is a character I made myself called Yllana (shown here in non-fae mode). In this image, she is depicted as a fiery medieval lass, born the fourth of 6 daughters to an only moderately wealthy nobleman. He despaired of ever providing dowries for so many daughters, so when Yllana tells him she has no desire to marry, he only feels relief, and readily agrees to allow her to remain with him and be chatelaine of his house, since her mother had died birthing his youngest daughter. But then Lord Storn comes along. Wanting an alliance, and choosing Yllana. She fights and screams, but to no avail. Her father is getting older, no longer has as much influence over his fighting men to be able refuse to Lord Storn outright. So Yllana is forced to do her duty so as not to disgrace her beloved father. But she plots with her maid to escape Lord Storn at the first opportunity and run back to her father. That opportunity comes on their wedding night. Lord Storn is called out suddenly to deal with a border raid, and Yllana immediately seizes the chance. Not even daring to put on her shoes for fear of waking someone, she quietly makes her way down the stairs and to the door, knowing her maid is waiting outside with horses, food, shoes, and traveling cloak. At the door, she pauses and looks back for a moment. Feeling a strange fleeting moment of regret, as she remembers that Lord Storn's (or Blaine, as he playfully insisted she call him) touch was kind, and not entirely unpleasant....
