I don't normally like post work, especially lens flare effects, but it seems to work here. Your good enough to get away with it! :o)

Youre right MBaker. I never use post work. But I have learned it today and... wanted to try. This effects must be used with more careful than this, I know. Thank you for your valuable opinion, friend. Fernando.

A little suggestion for adding candle lens flares and stuff. Use a new layer with all black to put your lens flare on. Use the Photoshop rulers to make a cross hair where the flame is. Now make a new layer and fill it with black. create your lens flare right on the crosshair and then change the blending mode of this layer to screen. It is a nice image. Very nice composition and it really has that lived in look.

I love your detail in this image. And the flare is not what i see. I see more a glow. But the 3d is great.

I've been struggling with flames too. I'm not so fond of using a fire-gizmo for a flame (without postwork). I DO like the flame in front you made here very much, but the glow (or flare) above the flame on the background looks a bit too high and too white for me. But for all the rest of the image: I love it! Wonderful composition and use of textures!!! Beautiful modeling!

I like your work a lot. Any chance of running a tutorial on how to make lit candles? And where do you get all your reference material from?
