Excellent stuff my friend. The atmosphere, trees and water, simply excellent. Of course the image would have been perfect when there are egrets instead of antelopes :-)))))) So, its only excellent!

Spectacular and so beautiful!

This is gorgeous--and if you can get this good a result with no postwork, that's excellent! For myself, I always like to mess with it just so that "it's mine"--I like the little human touches. You accomplished that feeling here with your masterful posing!

Oh, brilliant, Davy; the posing is just perfect. Wonderful atmosphere, and I like the pond with the grass in it. A real stunner. Vote and 10++

Nicely done in the pure sense. The challenge is to bend the program to do what postwork may add. Excellent artwork Davy!

That's a charming image! And great mood too. Personaly i don't realy care how an image was done as long as it rings some bell inside :) (like this one and many other in this gallery). But i do get more excited about images that are completely 3D....

Excellent scene with beautiful lighting. I know for me, the more I learn about a program (Vue for example) the more I realize how powerful the software really is, and I don't need to add alot of post work. But then there are times when I'm experimenting and I end up using almost every program I own on an image! John :)

Stunning, you've achieved an almost painterly quality, it wouldn't look out of place in a traditional art gallery.

Beautiful scene. Excellent atmosphere and composition. PS... Can't remember ever using postwork (except for a signature or border) but I agree, this is an art sight and you can use whatever tools you need giving credit to the one you feel had the most input (I always toss between Poser and Vue) but generally give it to the rendering software. The argument can be turned around to what 'pre-work' is done, also, like textures, posing, modelling, etc.

Beautiful image and a great render of the eponymous atmospheric effect. Personally I can't understand people getting anal about insisting on doing everything with one program. Fine if it's the best/easiest tool for the job. But surely the object of the exercise is the end art work, not setting oneself artificial "challenges" - which translates to struggling with the limitations of a particular package? How many of these advocates would say, "No, I've bought a good pen-knife, so I'm damn well going to make this cabinet drawer using just that" and not revert to the rather better suited chisel and saw from a different store? End of rant. ;-)

Excellent landscape. On the debate question: this debate only comes up in digital art, in traditional media fine arts no artist I know would believe the discussion: not use all of your abilities, is that sane?

Lovely image! Wish I could do these things with no postwork but mine never look right to me. There's always something lacking in the coloring or lighting... I do admire you wanting to do everything in Vue indeed! Bravo for some excellent work here! (After saying that I think my next image will be without postwork... I'll give it a shot. ;-))
