this is a neat funny Charles Addams meets Cthulu sort of idea. One small suggestion-- instead of many tentacles, try it with one sinuous tentacle . . .the effect will be different. Lighting could be a little "spookier"--more falloff

Hello crocodilian, thanks for the comment, complement and suggestion. Baby2 is one with your suggestions taken to heart. The volume fog did not look right so I left it out and and changed the light to inverted squared (an oversight with the first render).

I think the lighting is good, and I don't think the volume-light is malplaced. Though the tentacles could be fewer. Not too few though, perhaps 5-6? Otherwise it's really neat!
