Description

This is colored pencil on stonehenge paper. I first underpainted it with watercolor and went over it with colored pencil. After that, I touched it up with gouache, a thick water color. As you can see, I am doing a series of wildlife pictures.

Lorraine, In our world of digital art,I am so glad to see that the comtempoary art forms are still alive and well, i have used many in my lifetime, Pastel being my strongest, but I could never grip colored pencil. You make them work very well my friend, and this picture is another fine example of just how well. The eyes are Execellent and makes one feel as if the animal is looking right back at you...Very Good

I adore your treatment of the background, the leaves seem to be blowing in a slight breeze, the golden light glowing around this most gorgeous creature. Perfect colour choice, as always, and his eye seems so alive! Thank you so much for sharing this great series :D

Exqisite work on the Deer. The wildlife series that you are doing is very impressive. This image also shows alot of personality in the deer which is very hard to do in animals. Keep them coming, love every one.
