Description

Bad combination here. Just using some stuff from my monthly challenge pic, and adding some new "props" and a different spin. Objects from 3dcafe and renderosity free stuff. Textures from mayang and renderosity and noctua i think. Jack D bottle was a pain to try to get to look right (if it even does?). Thanks for looking, and comments and suggestions welcome, i know it it could use a few more touches :)

no doubt this is a stunning image, only one thing that i feel that could be corrected though... its the mail slots above the glass of beer, you need to scramble the jpegs of the wood grain around because all the slots are the same, other than that i coulda swore this was a photo!!! :o)

Great image! I love the JD bottle, it's grand... The gun seems to have some smoothing issues, but only one other thing : no ash in the ashtray? (shrugs)

thanks for the comments, i think i will try again with ashes as sdl noted, i knew somebody would say something about that :), also agree that the gun is not quite good enough and i agree that the damn repeating texture problem surfaced a few times as noted above.

Great render, the smothing seems to have caused some distortion on the gun model though, perhaps it's best to only smooth it a little, or not at all (guns don't need woobly edges =) ) I really like the wood texture however near the front the grain switches in a long patch with some strange artifacting. Not sure if this is the texture, or a bryce error. The glass with the booze, is that beer? because it has a bit of head on it. But the bottles next to the glass are jack daniels, which does not give a head. Camels pack could use some more ambiance. And if it has celophane (sp) then some reflection, if not, some bump. The cigs look awesome, but I agree some ash should be used. Great picture, I am just a picky bastard =).

Very nice modelling and texturing. Damn the wood looks awesome! Great job and keep up the wonderful renders. I enjoyed the title too...really says a lot about the picture.
