I've heard it said that a good wife is like medicine to her husband...guess thats why I'm so healthy :-). This is Bobbie and I on our vacation to Cozumel.BIOI started taking, developing and printing my own photos when I was a about 11 years old. My Dad built me a darkroom and I always loved making composite images in those days.
I started drawing and painting as well and after graduating from High School I attended Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota FL. Loved the work of F. Frazetta, M. Parrish, S. Dali and V. Bode. The Ringling years were fun.
Bobbie and I knew each other from first grade and I always loved her...but we were always "just friends" until my second year at Ringling. Thats when I decided to go back home for the summer and talk her into coming back to Fl with me...she said yes and a year later, we were married. That was 22 years ago and If I had it to do over again I wouldnt change a thing.
After graduating from Ringling we moved to Atlanta and I worked for some photographers building sets and developing film...but the city life was not for me...we moved back to SC and have remained here for the last 20 years. We have a 17 year old son.

Keep trying! I'll bet there's a market out there for a book of BobbieMoth pictures. She's just too cute and original to pass up. In the meantime, I hope you're doing these at 300 dpi (standard coffee table book resolution) so that they look good once they are in print. :)

Amazing, i really love this sort of imagery. Maybe you took them to the wrong publisher go for the publishers who specialise in art books like paper tiger if you haven't tried them already.

I guarantee that the publisher's reaction had nothing to do with your talent because this is great work. OUTSTANDING work. This probably wasn't the kind of stuff he/she was looking for. Go in to a book store and browse through the art/photography/fantasy mags and see what kind of magazine would be interested in bobbie, or go on the net and check forums and so on or search for fantasy mags that might want this kind of stuff. I'm sure if you keep trying that with excelent work like this you'll get it published. :)
