Description
Lost cubs.
Sadly, this happens a lot. And if the cubs get discovered by a male that did not sire them, the rogue male will kill them.
To say nothing of the other predators like hayena's etc. Growing up to be the king of the jungle is really difficult, and in africa only 3 out of 10 wil make it on average.

Like your composition, and especially the streaky colours... both remind me a little of one of Dali's periods where he'd paint vast expanses of almost-nothingness and populate them with a handful of disparate objects. Your intention is different of course but I think it works anyway... the idea of being lost is felt runs off to hug the nearest lion
