Damien squirmed in his chair as he sat talking to the lanky Half-Zeigus. There was a decided distraction in speaking with her, with a dirt brown spider the size of a house cat perched precariously on the chair over her shoulder. He had asked to see all familiars and trained pets as well as the new recruits, and this is what he got for such a command, forty-five minutes staring at a monstrous arachnid that he was sure would spring across the desk at him at any moment. The girl was no less spooky. Despite her parentage, and the obvious Carellonian education in her speech and mannerisms, she had come as a representative of another kingdom, the phantom partner in the SG-Legacy that none of the others would speak of, the Drovikallum. She had been trained by their monastic order of spies and assassins to be sent to watch the Splinter Kingdom, but this assignment had come along instead. I like this! Excellent pose, and that spider is well done (and damned icky). And we shall dub her... "Creepy spider chick." But only when she's not listening ;) Very good narrative as well!

i have always wanted to do a series of character portraits but thought it kind of cheesy. I don't know why. But after seeing your little series here it kind of gives me a boost in confidence and I might give it a go. Anyway, another nice piece of work. Lovely spider.

Very nice. The narrative is wonderful, and most appropriate. Still not goth enough =P, but the spider came out great.
