Description

Rendered in Bryce, no post render. This isn't really artwork; just a test. I've been experimenting with modeling with Bryce terrains. In this image I used three terrains, one for each wall and one for the ground. Then I got some nice high res photos, I used slightly modified greyscale versions of the photos for the terrains, I left the terrains at 256x256 so they would stay relatively smooth looking but still show the major contours. Then I applied the original texture to the terrains, I used bumpmapping to show more detail. It took a lot of tweaking to make it look just right but I have to admit I was truly blown away by the result. Please post your comments, if I get a good response I'll post a tutorial on just how I did everything.

VERY realistic looking for Bryce!!! Got to know how you did the greyscale! When I attempt to use actual photos, nothing comes out the way I want it. This is truely awesome detail!
