Description

Well here is my frst image since returning from vacation. It started as one thing and ended up as this. The change was inspired by my vaction trip to western Kentucky. The state of Kentucky is covered with similar buildings that stand empty, many dateing from pre Civil War. You can't help but wonder where did the people go? All of the models are from the vue CD except for the wagon. -FS Thanks for VUE'ing "Q"

Here I am sitting in front of this image wondering why the heck it's been rated "great" until now. It's a lovely image and deserves more!!! The composition is excellent, vegetation well posed, pov is fantastic. The shack is superbly textured, distance well brought off with the haze beyond... This is friggin' EXCELLENT!

I have to say that this is your best yet! The composition is superb. My only quibble would be to remove the bug as it doesn't add anything to the image. :)

I agree - the critters must go! With them exterminated, I think the composition is excellent, as also is the model of the shack. The vegetation in the middle ground is also outstanding. There are some problems with the textures, notably the (?) fence in front of the shack, and to a lesser ecxtent the roof timbers, where the texture grain runs contrary to the natural line in the wood. Also some of the planks in the construction of the shack seem improbably long - but I could be way off the mark there, as I have not seen this type of construction "in the flesh". To answer FrenchKiss's earlier comment, these are the rasons I am giving it a Great rather than an Excellent rating (I don't see Friggin' Excellent on my menu of choices) - I'm sure it would warrant the latter with a little more work in these areas. Well done.
