Just a hobbyist who started with Bryce some years ago and moved to Poser/Carrara when that proved too limiting. Always been interested in doing character portraits.
BIOI got into the hobby dreaming of doing character portraits for RPGs but thinking it was beyond me. Both with practice and the right tools, it caem within reach.
Recently I've homed in on an "illustrated" style that is the look I've always wanted to achieve and I've been focusing on that.
Hope you enjoy it.

I suppose the evil king had her sister kidnapped. She wants to free her from the guards? ok end speculation, you did a fine job on the render!

hmm..stars still don't look quite right...but pretty much everything looks great, great lighting, as to why she is so angry, perhaps she just broke a nail?

You are right about the stars. I should probably post-work in a night sky. Looked for some usable pics on the web but didn't find any. Maybe a bryce sky, even.

I think the rock detail that you have around the far background windows and doors should suggest that the wall behind her this close up should have more detail of concrete or mud rock age. May be some glow of a fain room light in the back black windows highlighting a shadowed room interior to pull the eyes around the image.
