She stood at the window and tried not to see the sunlight streaming across the battlement out into the canopy of green to the west. She would rather have seen darkness and storm clouds. It would have made things easier. She felt she needed something horrid, something even more pressing than her own drive for vengeance to push her into this. It would strain her beyond breaking.
