He is just the cutest thing! An look at the texture on the branch--that's really impressive! I like the background blur because it makes all those little hairs stand out.

Yes it looks exactly like a real grub! Excellent! It's much easier to take a photo of a real grub though.

This deserves to be higher up in the top 20. Great detail and composition, the only suggestion I could make is that the eye texture should be higher-res and that the fur underneath is a bit too bright.
