This image is dedicated to Karen Ann, who recently did me the honor of creating one of her incredibly beautiful frames for one of my pictures. I can never thank you enough!!! This flower is for you, dear lady! I was told it was a wild Orchid and can confirm that they do indeed grow wild along the river near Camp Sanity. If anyone knows fer sure what it is speak up please, I'd like to know... Olympus C-720, I did enhance the lighting a bit with Photoshop. Thanxxx fer viewin, comments welcome... JD 03

Looks like an iris. If it was an orchid while it might be wild it would not be native as they all come from South America. A really nice picture of this variety very different from the bearded form.

It's nice to see you seeing the beauty in such a simple thing. This is an iris, and it's my favorite flower. Every photo you take gets better and better. In a screwed up world you've managed to capture a beautiful shot. Awesome! This was the talent....I was talking about.... and always knew you had!!!!!!!!

I love Orchids and I think Irises are in the Orchid family. You can tell if you look at the flower and it reminds you of a woman.. ahem You know..we're all beautiful and stuff*
