BIOMy art is my mouth in the context of this digital era. Naturally art is an expression, however, I want to say something with my art. Through diversity I can make many aspects of my thoughts be one with the art. I try to accompany each image with some text that might be explaining in some way. I try to make sophisticated art.
My art has to evoke thoughts, there has to be intelligence in it. It might not always be apparent at a first glance, but it's always there. I try to provoke people, not to shock, but to let people think. Some of my opinions might seem bold, but they simply represent a certain theme of thinking.
I've attended and finished an art academy and have learned some nice techniques in those 4 years. Also I got some good art education there. However, the disadvantages of those academies is that they want to mold you into a certain product. They want to be able to label you as one of their special projects. There's not really a lot of room for lateral vision which I hold in high regard. It's lateral vision that defies boundaries. It's lateral vision that set the tone for new experiences in art. It's lateral vision that saves the world from aesthetic boredom.

Everything looks kind like marketing nowadays.. even feelings are sold like they are products... and considered so: shows as Big Brother, The batchelor,,, whatevr seems to be ready to sell. Everything looks so fake after the first fugitive impression of truth. And the sound of Money seems the only symphony that matters. Great image again... (yeah.. lie to me ;))

If it can be identified as marketing, then it's not good marketing, more often than not. Which is why I don't get why large businesses seem to always go with the methods of marketing which aggravate people the most [direct mail, email spam, cold telemarketing], as opposed to using more non-intrusive methods, like a television commercial with a toll free number and the like.

Direct mail does not aggrivate people when you're talking about B2B or B2C. Direct mail serves a function as there is a clear relationship between the sender and receiver. Spam on the other hand is indeed an annoying medium, and serves no real function other than flooding mail serves and mail boxes. Telemarketing is actually quite a good thing, sure many people laugh at it, but how many people buy these ab crunchers, easy muscle and slim pro? Fact of the matter is that television commercials are nice, but expensive... especially in the US where the television audience is extremely fragmented, thus creating a situation in which a marginal part of the target audience sees a commercial. Another thing is that television commercial are still focussed on mass marketing, while the trend is going towards 1 on 1 marketing. Cuztomization and customerization so to speak, in which digitalization and customerization are key factors.

Yeah, I'm with Meli here... no wonder it's so easy to feel alienated everywhere. Shows like Big Brother invoke such a horrible feeling of coldness within me that I've almost only ever seen it at friends' houses. I don't really get why it's labelled "reality TV" (marketing pigeon-holing again) because the scenario is so contrived (totally in the direction of money of course) that it's really a far cry from what reality truly is. The coldness just makes me shudder. Okay I digress from what you homed in on, but such is the nature of discussions, and thanks for starting this one off :-)
