Description
I started this project some months ago when i finished my 1st head (maybe someone will still remember it). I interrupted the process for some months during which i modeled two cars and another head due to some lack of inspiration. I called her Monica because the main subject in my female references folder was Monica Bellucci, the italian actress. The entire work took me one month. It was quite difficult to find the pose and the expression i was looking for, but now i'm very satisfied about every element of the pic, so i felt like i could consider it finished. I hope you like it :-)

I forgot, all the textures are 100% hand painted, except the textile one.

I would love to see an animation with this! This is GORGEOUS!

Really good work! The only things bothering me a bit are the corners of her lips -- the modeling looks a bit "pinched" just there and maybe a smoother curve would look better. The other thing is her nails and nail polish -- there seem to be skin texture stretching out over the nails (or vice versa). But otherwise it's very good!

Love the whole thing. The lips look like they've been done afterwards though. Certainly one for the Maxon gallery though. (Might even make the Cinema 9 manual!) :)

Great work Alberto ! the eyes seems too big, but that's a personnal taste. thanks for sharing !

Really inspiring work. I have to agree with cartesius on his observations and add one of my own. On a personal preference note, I'm not to fond of the spots on her skin. I realize that not everyone has flawless skin but I just don't care for them. The area where the forehead meets the hat seems to be lacking some shadows or something too. Still, awe-inspiring work. It's time to learn point-by-point modeling, for sure! -- 3d_e

mmmmm, Monica Bullecci, she's so hot! =D Of course I remember your other head, it's been my desktop wallpaper quite frequently! Great work! Did you model the hand in C4D too? Awesome! Keep up the great work!

This is fabulous. I love the expression, she's so alert and focused--looks really alive. Areas that could be improved: the lines on the insides of her knuckles are pretty blue, kind of like a vein color, and I think they should be more like a darker version of her skin color (based on looking at my own hand anyway). And her eyebrows are a bit one-dimensional--the hair lines are drawn beautifully but they seem to not be really part of her head. Maybe a little shadowing? Anyway it's a really cool picture and awesome modelling work.
