That's my husband David and I, and my beloved kitty Lucia. Lucia adopted me in 1996, and David and I found each other here..we started as best of friends, and are still soulmates. We were married in England on 6 May, 2005.
BIOI've been dabbling in digital art for about 6 years, starting with Bryce 3. I think I've improved quite a bit. I've been at Rendero for quite a few years; enjoy the forums and galleries. I do graphics mainly as stress relief, and also because I can't draw with a pencil and paper worth a damn! (Didn't inherit any of my father's prodigious artistic talent)
The main programs I'm using these days are Vue Infinite, Poser 4.03, 5 and 6, PhotoShop 6 and CS, and PaintShop Pro 7 & 8. I also play with Terragen and Mojoworld 2 & 3 (among others).
I don't really stick to one genre; I've been bouncing between nature scenes, portraits, with and without postwork, people, places, things, nature, animals, and fantasy. Right now I'm concentrating on texturing and lighting in Vue 4 Pro, and have been doing sprite images because they make me feel so lighthearted.
My sweetheart's name here is madasatadpole, and he's a very talented and creative artist. Please visit his gallery to see some stunning landscapes as well as some very silly humor! So thanks to Renderosity for not only being a source of information and fun all these years, but for bringing me the most precious gift of all. His dad also has a gallery here, madasadadpole, lol, please stop by and check out his lovely watercolors.

If I could get something to look that good, I would be ecstatic!:) The lighting back by the chair and door is wonderful....what a nice mood :) Plus....I just love cats!:)

Ya gotta be a bit easier on yourself, Djeser!! This looks very photo-realistic and if ya hadn't mentioned the probs with the cubes, I would've never noticed the rest is so well done!!

It maybe hard to duplicate real life, but hey this is 3D artwork. The fact you have such high expectations only makes your work better. The 3D version of your real photo is of excellent detail and construction. Well done DJ. BTW you get my vote THIS is an effort worthy of a top 20. Some I have seen recently are more based on popularity it seem than on content. :O) Congrats.

i totally agree with rick shoop on this one d i also agree with spiders..i love the effort alone you must have put into this one...its really lovely..i love greece and the only thing for me would be to have that lovely red flower that trails everywhere on the greek islands added to your image..:)its beautiful work and i'm gonna vote it too ..most excellent work
FrenchKiss
I like this very much. The composition, texturing and work on architecture is fantastic; The cats are a nice added touch as are the colorful flowers. Very Greece-like! Bravo! vote

Very real... like a photo sensitive to light... but real in this way, like you took the picture in very bright sunlight! I like it!!
erka
This is a wonderful image Djeser, full of details and i love the overexposure. It most certainly merits a vote. I only feel that the strong light should have a yellow tint rather than blue :)
sacada
This is an excellent image. You have done a brilliant job on the light, composition and textures.
CursedBeauty
very beautiful image djeser i like the light alot the composition is great...great shadows too look pretty real too but one thing the light is awsome but just a bit more down and it would be great too but thats just my opinion you dont have to change anything to it i think its all beauyty keep up the excellent work....Richie....

If your dissatisfaction create such great image, I wonder how great the "satisfaction" will produce. this is a top notch image.

What a picture! Wonderful details and textures. Light and shadows make me feel the clear, hot day there..
Irene
Everything was said - I think, this picture is great - onle the chair looks a bit big in relation to the door.

Being late here, there is not much to say left over. Only another "excellent". I mostly like the softness in the background. Superb. What do you mean with "impossible to make soft edges on cubes"? Maybe you'll have a look to Amapi (free version), there you can round sharp edges easily.
Mikeangelo
It's a great image, lots of detail well done. Another choice for softening cube edges is Wings 3D, I have Amapi 5 but find Wings much quicker and easier to use, and more versatile. It is of course is all down to individual choice, so try both. Dave

I think you've made a marvelleous picture, no reason not to be happy about it. One thing, though: I think the balance between light and shadow is "wrong", I'd prefer a little less exposure and a little darker shadows - but that's just me ;o) Excellent work.
kat
Dont be too hard on yourself Djeser.. this is a great scene, trying to re-create from a photo will never work properly due program limitations..This a great job and well worth the effort..Excellent!!
jgmart
The detail is amazing. The composition is amazing too. Excellent work!
Flycatcher
Give yourself a break, Djeser - this is excellent work! The only problem I have with it is that touched on by BigBraader - the light seems just a tad too bright and maybe also slightly too cold a colour temperature (not that I've been there, so just a subjective opinion). Even so, a terrific picture with lots of fine details.
deevee
This looks like a very bright day in the Cayman Islands...nothing wrong with it at all as I can see, but then I am just a dabbler, you may be right as you know what you wished to create..
vvveronika
Very nice one - lot of cool cats :-) I like it ! merits a vote :-)
Umbetro38
