Description

Apart from the survey ships, the patrolboats are the smallest vessels capable of interplanetary travel the United Planets Spaceforces have in service. The U.P Antares carries a crew of six and with its powerfull nuclear maindrives it is capable of reaching mars within 2 weeks. Due to its small size there is little gunnery except for 4 * 40mm armorbreaking Machinecanons but the 16 selfguiding missiles enable the U.P. Antares to attack a far larger enemy with a deadly strike and make a fast escape.

Very cool ship design. It's got a similar configuration (shape) as the Gallactica, but the size, loadout and the overall role are a lot different. I gotta do one of these planetary flyby render things for myself. Ubercool! :o)
