Description

Been away. This is not an actual image that I saw on my trip but more of an impression of the trip. Used Kutter's terrain material method (thanks) shown in his tute to create this from just 2 terrains (main and background) and their corresponding texture maps (about 8 deep each). Rendered in final (broadcast is too slow) without post. Thanks for viewing, comments welcome. Flowers by toucan.com, rest is Vue

That is breath-takingly realistic! I think it is one of the most keenly observed landscapes I have seen on this Forum, albeit a composite impression rather than a specific place. A truly splendid depiction of what many might have considered an unpromising subject material. I can just imagine myself trying to pick my way along the margins of that track without slipping into the water, or burying my leg calf-deep in the mud (I've managed both more than a few times). In my opinion, easily the best work you have posted here - the more I look at it, the more I find myself lost in admiration. I cannot find praise enough for this piece; it deserves to soar up the Top Twenty chart - here's my vote to help it on its way.

Yep, I agree with the first 3 comments - fantastic composition, really capturing that "nature feeling", can't describe otherwise. Very, very well done - and a vote, of course.
