Hmm, I am not advanced with 3ds max, although i am taking classes on computer graphics. But i m learning, and trying to get better. This is my second year working with 3ds max. I don't have much time for working 3d, because I am on a ski team in the winter, track team in spring, and cross country in fall. But 3d stuff is fun, and it's so satisfying when you finally make something.

Very nice. Two things though... A candle flame has one "flame tongue", your's has at least 3 small ones - I know MAX's fire isn't the best so you might wanna do this in Photoshop. Second, the material for the candle looks somewhat plastic, try adding a falloff map on the transparancy field - better yet use a raytrace material. Actually, MAX5 might have a wax material ready, I know MAX4 has, just load it from one of the material-library-files (matlib/*.mat)
