Description
This is the worlds first and only rotating boatlift., and the final link in Britains most ambitious canal restoration project, but also the creation of a corridor of commercial opportunity stretching coast to coast across scotlands central belt.

Very futuristic architecture. From the photo there is no way to figure out on how this lift works.Does it just lifts the boat for maintenance at that junction ?

The wheel takes the boats from the top of the Canal and brings them down so they can carry on there way.
