Description

this is the second part to my images based on the animatrix series, a detective story. I was planning to do this earlier but i left for a week. Most of my time went into modeling the buildings on the left, and making the billboards and signs to put up. thanks to rochr for some inspiration for those signs (which u probably cant read from the POV)-check out his in the bryce forum, just search for "commercial time" -thanks again to rochr for that3d logo of the female on the building. textures are from mayang.com and animax.it, and the 3d text was made in elefont(which rocks)the scene only took about an hour to render cuz i got impatient and wanted to hurry and finish it. postwork in photoshop, used alot of flaming pear filters. i also used universe image creator to add the "snowy" effect. thanks AGAIN to rochr for that idea. well---thats it for now--check out the bryce forum to see the image that i used as reference. until that comments/crits very welcome--and have a nice day! Jordan

You did an excellent job modelling the buildings.Hey... I'll tell you something I do in postwork to make the funny squiggle lines we all get going to jpg...In PSP there is an effect called Edge Preserving Smooth... Makes all those lines go away, like around the scaffold outriggers.Anyway gets my vote too!

This rocks, Jordan. Beautiful render, atmosphere perfect, the perspective is striking, as is your post-treatment and the overall subdued colors. Excellent and a vote.

That DOES it. I've got to try this (unlikely that I'll pull it off as well as you have, but I've still got to try ;P). This is perfect film noir.
