OK, so I have this. Can you give me suggestions for what I could do next? I don't want to add stained glass--I want the look of dis-use. Or maybe I'll go abstract. So are there suggestions?

Wow. Great vaulted arches; must've taken forever. Suggestion-wise: 1. About the stained glass -- it'll be a pain to design, yes, but you might want to ask why an abandoned cathedral suddenly wouldn't have stained glass, which is normally too high up for anyone to remove. 2. The picture looks like a view from the nave (main body) to the narthex (sanctuary). Normal elements, unless some major "wreckovation" has gone on, would be pews and an altar, along with statues and other objects. The architecture is obviously of a European Catholic cathedral, so leaving those things out would be rather odd indeed, even for an abandoned one. 3. You might consider, if going for the disused look, making the outside not so sunny and cheerful. I know -- you did this to light the interior so we could see it in the first place! Putting an older texture on the stone would definitely give it that venerable look. Maybe some mist or fog also? Great design. Looking forward to seeing the finished masterpiece.

Don't know which application you used. But you asked for suggestions.... In this scene, I would disable any sunlight, generate more polygons to make it look smoother, zoom in and point some kind of light to anything mystic - A Vampire or so?
