Description

Thanks for looking. It's a simple Julia set. Used UF3 and DM's doodads coloring formula experimenting with the morph settings. Does the background work? how about the texture? how about the frame.

Such an elegant and intricate design- wonderful flow..and the coloring and lighting are superb. Background & texture perfect, IMO..and the frame is understated enough to not detract from the composition..though I wonder how a simple bronze frame might look.

Background works perfectly, its understated and subtly textured enough to compliment the image rather than overpower it. Like Linda, i love the intricacy, and its incredibly smooth overall. Beautiful delicate shapes, and understated colouring, which really works. Im also in agreement with her on the frame, i think that a slender, simple bronze frame would look wonderful :)

Beautiful! Background is great. Texturing great. Don't like the frame - it looks brighter than the image, which detracts from it a little - and I also think the frame should have a touch of texture so it doesn't look so 'computer-grafficky' if you know what I mean. It's a beautifully crisp render, and great colours! The only small suggestion I'd make in terms of composition is that you don't have the top and bottom of the frame touching the Julia (I like the tiny gap you've left on the left and right) - or if you want it to touch, to make it touch on the left and right as well.

Absolutely gorgeous. Background & texture are great. I must admit that I agree with Simon though: The Julia is being barely clipped at each edge and the frame is rather bright.

I don't care much for the frame, but the rest is fantastic!

This is an incredible 3d julia! I love the colors and the beautifully subtle texture. I agree with Simon, I would prefer that the frame not touch the image, and with Linda about a bronze coloring on a somewhat narrower frame. A stunning image!

Absolutely gorgeous! I agree with Simon, not having the Julia touch the frame would make it look better. And I would prefer to see a darker frame, too :)
