This is most excellent, Martin. You're a master of light, so shadows aren't a problem for you. I appreciate a lot this kind of pictures, and yours are among the best.

I like the simplicity of it, and the fact that you put a little blur on the person--it adds to the quiet, hopeless feeling. It's a good piece of art because it's a little depressing!

Wonderful. The lighting is fabulous - i like the almost gloomy feeling of this.

"shadow play makes perfect," or something? my eye just hunts around the shadow's edge, looking for something... i know it's there.... but in vain! very cool treatment... just right

see you lil genius?? you are happy and feastful, back from holiday and still, your art and sensitivity can create depression if you want, because your art is superb in any way. I am trying since days to do a dark piece too.. and always I end to turn everything sunny because I am feeling so ;) you're incredibly great :)Glad to have you back :)

the diffuse light coming through the gaps is nice and subtle, just giving enough contrast, but through delicate transitions to convey just the right mood, brilliant!!

Again, your skill is so good...just a composition idea...what if you had him sitting bent over in the chair, in the foreground facing away from camera...you know, head down, arms hanging down, one in his lap, the other by his side...just a thought ;-) Then maybe make it a more wide angle shot or something for more dramatic event.

Phew... I was afraid you were just unable to create anything you like again.. As far as I remember, that was the cause of the last "Depression"? :) WEll... this pic is so absolutely excellent! The mood is just so incredibly dark and combined with those haning chains, this image could make the happiest man in the world shoot himself (j/k, but I want you to know how incredible you are at making moody stuff)... Now... If you'll excuse me, I'll go find my fathers shotgun ;)
