Hi Hobbit, I don't know if it's smart to say but I don't like it at all. I admire all your works, all of the time it's awesome but this horse looks weard and out of proportions. The eyes are too big I guess and the back legs are too long. Well, compare to the poser horse for anatomy. Hope I didn't offend you, Johannes

Thanks for the comments all,,, terra-man,,this is a foal. And I would never use the poser horse anatomy for reference in a painting or a sketch, only 3d. I kinda prefer studying them for real in a field, like this one (without the horn of course). This is a charater sketch for a book, the large eyes are deliberate. Andy

What an beautiful image!! And of course she is a foal. Almost everyone who looks at it would have no trouble telling, unless they have never seen one. The long legs are the first thing to give it away, that and the large innocent eyes which you have emphasized wonderfully. She will make a great character in a book. With your artistic talent it is sure to be a best seller for your artwork alone. I can't wait to see it. :)

I wish I could say more, but I'd just be repeating what others have said. An excellent job!
