i am very familiar with depression. this photo expresses the despair, hopelessness and helplessness that comes with it wonderfully. i saw it and had an immediate emotional connection to it.

This image speaks volumes. I've also had my run-ins with depression (I think we all have in one way or another), and this image conveys that feeling to a tee. Excellent work.

Great atmosphere and expression... captures the mood (though a mood like this is hardly a fleeting emotion) quite well. and i... relate. my house... relates (lol). and i wholly concur about art coming from the 'unlikliest, darkest places...' A fine job.

I commend you on this! Mental health is my area of interest and photography is my hobby, so to see the two mixed brings me pleasure. This is a perfect illustration of depression!! :)

Very intriguing work here. Was this set up or did you find this man living in this state of squalor?

Thanks for your comments on this work, im touch you can feel it to. :) There is a story behind the guy. he is one of my best friends for 10 years, a writer and preformace poet and ture master of his art crippled by his mental health, he became isolated and lost from the world, his bedsit become a total tip i was the only one who would go round his place and not care about the mess, lol lol and sitting there whith this guys mess i saw the Art around me, in the forms of rubish, and i wanted to show people the art that lies in rubish, his own mess became my studio and i asked if i could shoot there. and he being an artist said yeah. he he...... ile tell part 2 of this story. on the next picture from this shoot :)

I wouldn't have missed it anyway, not even mising Jim's addressing me at your triades today.. but indeed, this is one of the most touching pieces I have ever seen. I can just tell you this: you honour art and human sensitivity through this sensationally deep work.
