This was my cover contest entry, which didn't even make honorable mention (congrats to all the winners btw). I still learned so much from this and had an absolute blast that I don't mind. This was my first attempt ever at fabric painting (my previous gallery post shows my second attempt, and a little improvement). These aren't characters for the story Goss and I are working on, but they look like they could be (maybe we'll fit them in somewhere). Its actually me venting my anger at how people can appear to be the most beautiful people, but underneath it all they are ugly - a reaction to someone deciding they could use elements of one of my pictures in their pic without permission...this person I called a friend. Rather than freak out about it, I released my animosity through this. Despite the negative meaning, it actually was really fun, and can probably be interpreted in other ways.
Thanks for taking a looky, and any comments or suggestions for improvement would be much appreciated. :)

This is a great work Joey! I see the huge work behind it and I can understand your feelings. Don't worry too much about painting clothes, surely it'll come to you with more practice! One hint for you: some reference pictures will help to get the folds right, or just take a piece of cloth and drape it around the chair, etc. I call it my reference material and it helps a lot:)

YOur first fabric painting is better than most artists that have been doing it a while. :) I think you should continue because you obviously have a knack for it. By the way, this image is more than creative, it's just freaky!! lol.
