Description
*deep breath* OK, this is my first attempt at painting hair and clothes. I am not entirely happy with it, but my hand is killing me, and I think probably until I am able to get a tablet, this might be the best I can do. I hope you enjoy it, regardless. :D I had a great time making it, following along with tutorials by Ra_Graphics and Crasher (thanks, guys!) The character is WooYah's Soleil, and was given to me as a birthday present by one of my dearest friends in the world. The background is a free Vue background from uniquerenditons.com.

I think you did very well for your first attempt, you have the hip garment folds folded well, maybe you should try a pose with less movement by the character, that way you will not become overwhelmed by trying to simulate the action of the garment bending. I think you are on your way to getting better without a pen tablet, Great work:) David

This is really excellent for your first attempt! If you can do this with a mouse, then id love to see what you will do with a tablet! Excellent work!

Oh this is gorgeous!! Your painting of cloth is excellent. I thought it was a model dress. I wish I could paint hair and cloth, but alas, that talent escapes me. Wonderful work!!

You did an excellent job of painting closes and hair, especially without a tablet. Very wistful expression on her face. Great work. CC
