Description

Story behind this one is: A good friend of mine has been working as a mermaid at hotel club in Las Vegas. She sent me a picture of herself and a friend in costume and it inspired this piece. Colored in Photoshop (I'm trying to catch up to Sean now)

I didnt imagine this drawing coloured so fine, its perfect! I love the texture on the tails. Excelent is the word.

woo cool! - I like the muscle tone on the tummy ad the textures in the tails (which are from where...????) What would have really jazzed this pic up though would be some bubbles around the girls to show the water effect better...They could easily be added just using a fine airbrush and selection in photoshop.

The tail texture: Modeled first just as a smooth objects with the airbrush. Then in the layers mode I added a pattern (clouds) and applied it as a "color burn". The image was also very large and at 600 dpi soo the pattern was smaller than if I had used it on a smaller image...I am thinking about bubbles.
