Description
This is still very much a work in progress, but I thought I'd post it here since I need some advice. Thanks to Hobbit for his advice in making a tree, but I need some information on making realistic looking foliage. The image was done in Bryce and Photoshop, and while I think I've got the general idea pretty well developed, there's a lot of work that needs to be done before I can feel I've actually progressed at all. Comments are very welcome, thank you.

I like where this is going! It this were my project I would try to follow the folds of the bryce object with foliage and ground cover. I would also very much concentrate on that wonderful tree. (shadows, depth..try to remove the look of a floating layer) I really like it. Hope you post your next addition.

If you do a search for "Calyxa's Miracle Trees" over in the tutorials section, there is a great one there on how to make trees. I think the URL is http://www.best.com/~calyxa/pearl/miracle.html hope it helps you

It's possible to do very realistic foilage in Bryce - right now, I'm also working on an image based on Hoobits tutorial and have achieved rather results just messing a little around with the deep texture editor. Try to make the shapes you use as complex as possible - worked for me (+ use LOTS of them). If it doesn't look good, PS can do a lot!
