Description

I posted the Photoshop version of this image a while back. I thought I would share the original drawing. I have been into photography for a few months now. I thought that this community would help inspire me to draw more often. My lazy ass feels more inclined to snap shots instead. Photography is more of a quick fix. I have a tremendous respect for quality photographers, but even more respect for people who can (for example) rub graphite on paper and come up with an amazing likeness of some person or an amazing rendering of any of natures visual offerings. I hope that I can offer more drawings for critique. I must first put down the camera....but I am not sure if I can....

Its classic and timeless. Its evokes a silliness and a giggle. You captured something with your hands and simple tools. To critique this would be a shame. Drawing, in my view is a raw state of being. The producer of the idea knows exactly what they intended to do. As a viewer, I was able to laugh at the tought of this. It was fun. can I assume it made you laugh too while you were making it? as far as presentation.. well done.

Well, this is a very well done sketch, good subject and well presented. My critique would be perhaps to have more contrast, highlights or something so that it really jumps off the paper. Just a thought.

Great work my friend, but dont make the choice. Why dont you pratice both, side by side. Its allways good to do more then 1 dicipline in art, it opens the Eye. ;) And for us, that would be no punnisment.

I think I like it even better than the potatoshopped version... puff (would I really look like that in a high hat?) And please, don't give up on neither of the two - sometimes it IS possible to catch two birds. You'd just need to talk to that lazy ass, I guess...
