Description

All major architectural elements by Ysvry This picture is for Ysvry, who was wondering why no-one had posted any art featuring his models. (You can find his models in the free section, or at http://home.deds.nl/~mp/elf/elf.htm) Having worked with the models I can guarrantee that they are excellent - really nicely styled, and with a very low polygon count for their complexity. I liked working with them so much that I got carried away and ended up with this extremely large building. The basic body of the cathedral consists of Bryce primitives, but all the decorative elements (towers, pillars, flying butresses, etc.) are Ysvry's work. The market cross is made of his Light-tower, plus a few primitives. The picture still needs some work; I will re-post it eventually when I have time to get a bit more detail into the scene. The lighting, composition, and sky are all excellent! However the ground looks too repetitive.

Agree with all the above, it's an excellent render. The model is really impressive, and you put it in the right atmosphere. I too can't wait to see the final.
