Very nice work -- a lot of emotion. The composition might work better, though, if you alter the background a bit so that there is more green behind the horse. The top of his mane is blending in with the shadows in the background.

Good composition and strong emotion ... also agree with mmitchell_houston, the horse sort of disappears on large image and especially on the thumbnail. Different background?? No way!! Since when has nature ever worried about clashing with the colour of a horse's mane?? I think the image is great as it is. Fantastic feeling. My heart goes out to the horse.
