Description
I drew this for my dear friend Cassie for her birthday. I know it arrived late, but I also wanted it to be a surprise. Both this and the next one were for her and her man, Matt, but as I couldn't decide which one was for who, they are for them both.
It's my first attempt at a coloured pencil sketch. I had only two colours to work from, which limited me a bit, and I don't know if I like the result much, but they always say an artist is their own worst critic, huh?

I am impressed at the way you've done this firstly tried sketch. Compliments, because it looks promising and then.. there's the lovely dedication to my adored Cassie, that I praise you for, and her adorable Matt :) I thank you for this piece and your grace you've gifted them with :)Beautiful :) and precious :)

One day they may make a decent scanner that will truely replicate traditional works to the standard of their originals as this beautiful image looks so much more stunning in the flesh ;) The limited colours only add more mood and make the whole image exhude the spirit of this, most loved, landmark. Thank you SO much sweet Ava, it is a gift that both Matt and I shall treasure as we hang it proudly above the TV HUGEST HUGS.

Yep, I remember that place! Been some years since I was there (about 14 actually... jeez...) but yep, that's it! I've seen Cassie's watercolour of Eilean Donan so I chose a card with a photo of it as her xmas card... posted it in her package yesterday L
Thanks again for dedicating this to Cassie and Matt :-D

Beautiful, made all the more so for being in the spirit of a gift. I've always found working with colour, especially limited colour, challenging, but you've stepped up to that challenge well. (And hey, I love castles!)
