I agree that the water could be better, but the way the surface maps are distributed is pretty decent to me.The grayish white is the only thing that seems out of place to me.. What do i know, I'm just the moderator !!

Nice beginning! I think the water needs the most work, but the strata should be reds, browns, oranges and such. Play with that a bit, and the water. I bet you can improve this with small changes! Good luck!
